Louisville knows a thing or two about championship competition.

From the thunderous excitement of the Kentucky Derby to its storied college basketball traditions, the Derby City has built a sporting identity defined by passion, pride and a flair for the big stage. Now, the world's first and world's best pickleball tour is ready to add another chapter to that legacy, bringing the game’s top players for four days of action at the 2026 Humana APP Louisville Open.

Hundreds of pickleball players from across the globe will head to the Kentucky International Convention Center for a world-class pickleball setup. From the sport’s elite professionals, to the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) divisions to the return of the Humana Cup competition, to amateur players of all ages and skill levels, all will compete for ranking points, prize money and plenty of hardware leading up to national TV broadcasts on ESPN2 and CBS Sports Network.

Joining the fun on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17 is PickleY’all, an amazing community festival celebrating all things pickleball. Located just outside the Kentucky International Convention Center, this will be a must-see spectacle for everyone. Among the highlights of the festival will be a free Shaggy concert, taking place from 4pm on Saturday afternoon. Watch the APP pros battle it out for golds, then head to Shaggy for a fantastic kick off to your Saturday night. Learn more about PickleY’all here.

Who will come out on top in Louisville? Here are the top pro storylines heading into the 2026 Humana APP Louisville Open.

SIX IN A ROW

Jack Munro and Richard Livornese, Jr. teamed up for their sixth consecutive men's pro doubles title of the season after defeating Jay Devilliers and Tanner Tomassi in Columbus. The win gave Munro and Livornese, Jr. their eighth and seventh APP Tour gold medals of 2026, respectively. Will they make it seven straight with a win in Louisville?

Munro also earned gold in mixed pro doubles in Columbus alongside Jill Braverman. His eight golds lead all APP Tour pros in 2026.

FUDGE ON TOP

By winning the women's pro doubles title in Overland Park with Kat Stewart, Megan Fudge officially tied Simone Jardim's record for the most career women's pro gold medals in APP Tour history (33). Fudge and Aidan Schenk fell just short in the mixed doubles final in Columbus, pushing her record-holding career total medals count to 95.

FIRST OF MANY

Domenika Turkovic broke through in Columbus and won her first career APP Tour gold medal, defeating Jessica Evanier in the women's pro singles final. The Croatia native also earned silver in women's pro doubles alongside Glauka Carvajal-Lane.

On the men's side, Tristan Dussault won his first career APP Tour men's pro singles gold medal when he took down Dusty Boyer in a hard-fought final.

NO KAT NAPS HERE

Katerina Stewart continued her torrid 2026 APP Tour campaign by winning two more gold medals in Overland Park a few weeks ago. Stewart's women's pro singles title was her fourth of the year, and she also teamed up with Megan Fudge to win her first women's pro doubles gold of the season. Stewart's seven gold medals are three more than the next closest APP women's pro.

INTERNATIONAL STARS SHINE

The APP Tour's talented international player pool made a splash in Columbus. Jay Devilliers brought home silver in men's pro doubles alongside Tanner Tomassi. Quang Duong earned his second medal of the season with bronze in men's pro doubles alongside Aidan Schenk. Roos Van Reek and Vivian Glozman, the women's pro doubles champions from the Chicago event in August, both return to action in Louisville.

THE BATES-MADDOX CONNECTION

Shelby Bates and Christine Maddox teamed up to bring home their second women's pro doubles title of the season, defeating Glauka Carvajal-Lane and Domi Turkovic in the final. The duo also earned bronze in Overland Park together, marking three straight events reaching the podium.

RONAN REIGNS

Ronan Camron earned bronze in men's pro singles in Columbus for his eighth total medal of 2026, which ranks tied for the third most among all APP Tour pros. Camron remains the No. 1-ranked men's singles pro in the APP Tour U.S. Rankings.

BOBBI'S BACK

Bobbi Oshiro enters Louisville with eight (8) total medals in 2026, tied for third among APP Tour pros, and returns to action still seeking her first gold of the year.

BACK ON THE PODIUM

Jessica Evanier, making her first Championship Sunday appearance since 2023, earned silver in women's singles in Columbus. Congrats, Jessica!
