APP Signature Event: AARP U.S. Champions Cup

Pictona at Holly Hill

This 4-day tournament will allow players 40 and older to compete. Skill levels from 3.0 to 5.0 are offered in addition to 10-year age groups.

FORMAT OF PLAY:
All amateur play will be round-robin (pool play) with playoffs. All teams/players will play a minimum of 4-6 games. Round robins will consist of a minimum of 4 teams/players and a maximum of 6 teams/players. The top 4 teams/players will advance to a playoff. If a bracket consists of more than 2 pools of 6 teams/players, there is a potential for 6 teams/players to advance to playoffs. Scoring for round robin will be 1 to 15 by 2. Medal matches will be 2/3 to 11 by 2.

IF THE BRACKET IS COMBINED, ONLY ONE SET OF MEDALS IS AWARDED TO THE TOP THREE (3) PLAYERS/TEAMS OF THE COMBINED BRACKET.

REQUIREMENTS:
New: AARP Champions Tour Wildcard Request

Any champion pro wanting to participate in an AARP Champions Tour event and is NOT eligible due to having a low UTPR, may apply for a wildcard.

Please submit a request for the desired tour stop and events you wish to enter to kherrmann@theapp.global

The deadline for submission is three days midnight before the specific tournament registration deadline.

This mentoring program prepares young adults to represent the United States in future international and APP Tour professional competitions. The age range for the series events is 16 – 23 years’ old, with players competing in three-day tournaments held at various Chicken N Pickle facilities.
