APP Selkirk Collegiate Championship Qualifier Tournaments

For the upcoming 2025-26 season, the APP will host seven APP Selkirk Collegiate Championship Qualifiers to determine the field that will compete in the team event at the 2026 APP Selkirk U.S. Collegiate Championships in Cape Coral, FL. This allows more schools and more players to participate in highly competitive tournament environments and reduces travel costs given regional locations.  

All matches are refereed by USA Pickleball Credentialed Referees

All team and individual matches at the Qualifiers and the Championships are refereed by USA Pickleball credentialed referees. The APP takes great pride in the quality of its tournaments and believes that providing officials for every match elevates the competitive environment for all players.

Player Eligibility Requirements

Given the APP Selkirk Collegiate Series is part of the NIRSA Championship Series, the APP follows NIRSA guidelines for eligibility. Please go to Player Eligibility Requirements – NIRSA Play for more detailed information.

Registration

All players must have the following for the captain to complete registration for the team:

The Captain/Coach must complete the following:

• Captain completes team registration and submits payment.
• Once payment is accepted, Captain can add players to his team.
• Captain will receive an email/text with a link to the Player Certification Form that must be completed and uploaded to NIRSA digitally.
  
  • Player Certification Form is used to verify eligibility of players through documentation of enrollment in college level course. ‍
  • Original Form should be submitted in person at team check-in.
• Captain will submit all player’s USA Pickleball Membership numbers to the Program manager for the APP Collegiate Series at collegiate@theapp.global.
• Captain will have players sign the Flying Pickle facility waiver at check-in the first day of the tournament.
• Captain will share the link to the DocuSign Tournament Waiver with all players and ensure that it has been completed.
  

Costs

The team registration fee for APP Selkirk Collegiate Qualifiers (TEAMS ONLY) is $200 per team. Schools can register up to 3 teams. (1 Team = $230, 2 Teams =$460, 3 Teams = $690). Teams may register more than 3 teams if there is availability after the cancellation deadline.

Prize Money for the APP Selkirk Collegiate Qualifiers

There is $85,000 in prize money distributed at APP Selkirk Collegiate Events, including $35,000 at Qualifiers and $50,000 at the APP Selkirk U.S. Collegiate Championships.

• APP Collegiate Qualifiers – $5,000 per qualifier  
• 1st – $2,000
• 2nd – $1,500
• 3rd – $1,000
• 4th – $500
• Note: the Captain determines payout distribution, i.e. team or individual

Please note that there are two options to receive prize money: Teams can opt to have players receive equal individual payouts or have the team receive the entire payout. Captains will receive an email after the tournament with instructions on how to set up the payouts.
