Twenty years ago, Lee Whitwell was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, nicknamed the suic*** disease for the amount of pain it causes. Lee didn't let that stop her from enjoying life and when someone bribed her to begin playing pickleball, a new life began. Lee is one of the most loved players on the APP Tour, consistently medals in all events in the AARP Champions division and can regularly be found mentoring up-and-coming pickleball players.
