Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz said it best: there’s no place like home. When Labor Day weekend rolls around the calendar it only means one thing – the APP Tour is back in its home city of Chicago and ready for action.
The APP Tour - the world’s first and the world’s best pro and amateur pickleball tour - returns to the north shores of Lake Michigan for five days of nonstop pickleball action at the 2024 Zimmer Biomet APP Chicago Open. Pickleball players from around the world will hit the courts this week, making it the largest-ever edition of the APP Chicago Open. The field will feature amateurs of all ages, pickleball’s elite pros, the AARP Champions (50+) Division and the return of the Humana Cup competition. Medals and prize money are up for grabs on a national TV broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
The 2024 Zimmer Biomet APP Chicago Open is a USA Pickleball Golden Ticket qualifier for 2025, meaning gold medalists earn the right to secure their spot at the USAP National Championships next year.
As part of the festivities, the APP is proud to support two prominent Chicago area charities, Misericodia Foundation, a living community for adults with disabilities and the 100 Club of Chicago, benefiting families of first responders. Special ticket offers are now available via SITickets.com.
