The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) today unveiled its 2027 U.S. event calendar, featuring 12 APP Tour stops and double the prize money. In its ninth full season, the APP global calendar will feature more than 60 events, including U.S. tour stops, the new APP Moneyball Series, APP Asia events and international tournaments through the Global Pickleball Alliance (GPA). The comprehensive 2027 schedule will be announced soon.

The APP U.S. schedule will deliver increased livestream coverage for the pros and the return of the exciting Shriners Children’s APP Pro Invitational.  For amateur players – and for the first time in APP history – all 2027 events will be designated as USA Pickleball Golden Ticket tournaments for both the 2027 and 2028 USA Pickleball National Championships.

The 2027 nationally televised APP Tour slate features 12 tournaments across the United States, once again ranging from familiar fan favorites to first-time destinations. Each APP Tour event will be televised nationally with linear broadcast coverage across ESPN and CBS Sports, in addition to hundreds of hours on livestream platforms. Competition will showcase the world’s best professionals plus the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) divisions, and are open to players of all ages and skill levels.

“Our 2027 calendar reflects our continued commitment to the players and communities who have built this tour with us, and our confidence in the APP’s lead role in building the future of professional pickleball,” said APP Founder Ken Herrmann. “Doubling professional prize money and expanding our livestream coverage are direct investments in our athletes, giving them greater earning potential and visibility as we build a tour that supports long-term professional careers. The always-popular Golden Ticket tournaments further strengthen our connection with USA Pickleball and create meaningful opportunities for competitors. We are proud of the respect the APP has earned around the world, and we enter the new year with strong momentum and a clear ambition to raise the standard for pickleball.”

The Shriners Children’s APP Pro Invitational Southern California continues the APP’s commitment to using pickleball to support charitable initiatives. Additional details on the event’s format will be announced at a later date.

Rounding out the 2027 full event calendar will be tournaments from the APP Asia Tour, which brings elite competition to Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam and more, while nations part of the Global Pickleball Alliance (GPA) will host events across Europe, Australia, India and beyond. Domestically, the APP’s player development series, APP Next, will host several events, the APP Selkirk Collegiate Series features competition among the nation’s top college pickleball programs, and the APP Moneyball Series will further support the pathway for aspiring pickleball pros to join the APP Tour. 2027 schedules and player registrations for these events will be announced soon.

Increased Investment into Tour, Players
The APP’s increased investment in prize money strengthens the organization’s professional competition platform, while expanded livestream coverage will bring more tournament action to fans and provide additional visibility for athletes and sponsors. Golden Ticket status across the calendar will give eligible competitors opportunities to qualify for USA Pickleball Nationals, connecting the APP’s national event footprint with one of the sport’s premier championship stages.

“The APP’s standing as an internationally respected professional pickleball organization is a source of tremendous pride and a foundation for continued growth,” said APP Chief Revenue Officer Ryan McSpadden. “This calendar gives our partners a compelling platform across key markets, with more live coverage and greater investment in the athletes at the center of the experience. We are excited to build on that momentum with sponsors and investors who share our belief in pickleball’s future.”
