The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) has unveiled its  event schedule for 2026, the organization’s eighth full season of elite pickleball competition. Highlighting the robust calendar will be 13 nationally televised events for the APP Tour, the world’s first and world’s best pickleball tour for professionals and amateurs, joined by additional APP Next events, an expanded APP Selkirk Collegiate Series circuit, the return of fan-favorite APP Showcase Events, international tournaments, and more. Registrations for all APP Tour events will be available in the coming months through the APP’s official website.

“Another exciting chapter of momentum and growth is upon us, as we launch season eight of the APP,” said APP Founder Ken Herrmann. “Our event portfolio has expanded far beyond just APP Tour events, and we truly have something for everyone. Our tournament standards continue to be second-to-none, catered towards all players regardless of age, skill or status. We stay committed to being a resource pickleball players worldwide, and giving our pro players a global stage to shine and share their journeys. We can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for APP pickleball.”

2026 APP Tour Events  

The 2026 nationally televised APP Tour slate features 12 tournaments across the United States, ranging from familiar fan favorites to first-time destinations. Each APP Tour event will be televised nationally with linear broadcast coverage across CBS Sports and ESPN, in addition to hundreds of hours on livestream platforms. Competition is open to players at all ages and skill levels, plus elite professionals including the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) divisions. APP Tour Major tournament designations—featuring enhanced prize pools and point rankings for pros—will be announced in the coming weeks.

The APP has formed key partnerships with national sponsors and local entities in its host cities to support the success of each APP Tour event. Humana Inc., headquartered in the vibrant city of Louisville, Kentucky, was the catalyst for bringing the APP Tour to its hometown for the first-time and will partner to deliver a full week of pickleball and wellness activities to Louisville residents and APP guests from across the country. The APP Humana Louisville Open is supported by Louisville Tourism and the Louisville Sports Commission, the APP Detroit Open is in collaboration with the Detroit Sports Commission and the APP Overland Park Open is hosted in partnership with Visit Overland Park.

June 10-14: APP Vlasic Classic – Cincinnati (Sawyer Point, Cincinnati, OH)

July 22-26: APP Chicago Open (Danny Cunniff Park, Highland Park, IL)

Aug. 19-23: APP Detroit Open (Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi, MI)

Sep. 16-20: APP Overland Park Open (AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk, Overland Park, KS)

Oct. 14-18: APP Humana Louisville Open (Kentucky International Convention Center, Louisville, KY)

Oct. 28-Nov. 1: APP Arizona Open (Arizona Athletic Grounds, Mesa, AZ)

Dec. 2-6: APP Tour Championships (The Fort, Fort Lauderdale, FL)

2026 APP Next Events  

A first of its kind circuit founded in 2021, APP Next events are the world’s only pro pickleball player development programs, offering the younger generation of pickleball players valuable coaching opportunities from APP Tour professionals while competing in multi-day prize-money tournaments. These events are geared towards players age 23 years and younger and are held at various Chicken N Pickle facilities across the United States. Feb. 13-15: APP Next – San Antonio (Chicken N Pickle, San Antonio, TX)

Mar. 20-22: APP Next – Las Vegas (Chicken N Pickle, Henderson, NV)

June 19-21: APP Next – Dallas (Chicken N Pickle, Grapevine, TX)

July 31 – Aug. 2: APP Next – St. Louis (Chicken N Pickle, St. Charles, MO)

Oct. 23-25: APP Next – Kansas City (Chicken N Pickle, Overland Park, KS)

Dec. 11-13: APP Next – Fort Lauderdale (The Fort, Fort Lauderdale, FL)

2025-26 APP Selkirk Collegiate Series

Recently announced by the APP, the 2025-26 schedule will host a series of regional qualifiers across the country and culminate the season with the 2026 APP Selkirk U.S. Collegiate Championships hosted at The Courts, Cape Coral in March 2026. Four of the seven qualifier events will take place in fall 2025, with three additional events in early 2026 in preparation for the championship tournament March 6-8. In the APP Selkirk U.S. Collegiate Championships, schools will compete in a team competition and individuals will compete in mixed doubles, gender doubles, and singles. In total, college players will battle for $85,000 in prize money, including $5,000 per qualifier and $50,000 in the APP Selkirk U.S. Collegiate Championships. The full APP Selkirk Collegiate Series qualifier schedule is available via TheAPP.global.

2026 APP Showcase Events  

In a class of their own, APP Showcase Events are designed to celebrate and honor specific members of the pickleball community with special standalone events. The 2026 APP Selkirk U.S. Collegiate Championships will host the nation’s top college pickleball teams who earned their place in the qualifiers to determine its final champions. The third annual APP Women’s Open Presented by The James is dedicated to women in pickleball and coincides with the start of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Additional Showcase Events will be announced in the coming weeks.
