Since the APP was formed in 2019 as the world’s first tour for professional and amateur pickleball players, the focus has been to provide all players at our tournaments with the very best possible event experience in tournament pickleball, anywhere worldwide.
With that goal as the number one priority, the decision has been made to change the dates of the 2024 APP Fort Lauderdale Open, moving the event from the December 2024 dates that have been published, to January 15 - 19, 2025.
The APP U.S. Collegiate Qualifier – Southeast Regional tournament (December 5 – 7), and the APP Next Gen (December 5 – 9) and APP Next Gen II (December 5 – 8) tournaments will continue as scheduled at The Fort on the previously-published dates.
This decision has been made due to several factors, primarily our desire to showcase The Fort, the APP’s headquarters, when it is fully functional and not affected by construction or weather delays, and therefore ready to host the large number of professional and amateur players who will be attending the inaugural APP Tour event at the facility.
Every effort is being made to provide as much notice as possible, so all players have a chance to reschedule travel plans and accommodations.
Players who wish to transfer registration to the 2025 dates, there is no action required. Those registered will remain registered for this event. Players unsure at this time if they would like to be part of the rescheduled event next year may log into the UTR website and withdraw with a full refund.
