The Association of Pickleball Players (APP), in conjunction with the sport’s national governing body USA Pickleball (USAP), announced the addition of three “Golden Ticket” events to its 2024 schedule. APP Tour events in Cincinnati, New York City and Newport Beach will be auto-qualifier events that provide gold medal winners a “Golden Ticket” to pre-register to compete in the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships.

“The APP is honored to host five of USA Pickleball’s ‘Golden Ticket’ tournaments leading into the 2024 USAP National Championships,” said APP Founder Ken Herrmann. “These events highlight some of the top pickleball players across the country, and we’re thrilled to provide an incredible opportunity for them to take part in an event we’re all about excited about.”

After the previously announced “Golden Ticket” events in Sacramento (March 6-10) and Miami (March 20-24), the next “Golden Ticket” on the APP’s schedule will be in Cincinnati. The 2024 APP Cincinnati Open will take place May 8-12 at Sawyer Point, marking the APP’s return with another premier pickleball event on the Queen City’s beautiful riverfront.

On May 22-26, the APP will make its triumphant return to one of the premier sports venues in the world as the 2024 APP New York City Open will be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament will offer the sport’s top players an opportunity to compete for gold medals on a championship court in the shadows of the legendary Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The APP’s fifth “Golden Ticket” event will take place in Southern California. The APP Newport Beach Open on July 3-7 will return to the Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach, where the APP welcomed a record-setting 1,400 competitors last year to mark its largest tournament to date.
